Lancaster University Ghana to expand its campus

Lancaster University, Ghana (LUG) is to expand its campus by taking additional space in the A and C Square development to include extra lecture theatres and tutorial rooms.
The University opened its Ghana campus in 2013 with its partner Trans National Education Ghana Limited, with student enrolment from 67 to 225 now.
A statement issued in Accra by Ms Mary Anne Amoah, Marketing Manager, Marketing Department, LUG, said the University's portfolio of 10 programmes matches the demands of the West African employment market.
Mr Raghav Lal, Executive Director of LUG, said: “The expansion of the campus is a result of the university's strategic direction and growth plans.”
He said with the increased demand, the University needs to continuously focus on quality of their teaching infrastructure and student experience.
“Since our inception two years ago we have achieved exceptional results and growth through excellence in teaching, innovation, and developing a world class student experience in Ghana,” he added.
He said the combined capacity across both locations would allow the University to grow up to 1,000 students across its foundation, undergraduate and postgraduate students.
