KFC - Kumasi Asokwa

KFC Restaurant, a joint venture between the Kentucky Fried Chicken Ghana Company and Shell, an international petroleum marketing company, has been inaugurated at Asokwa, Kumasi, with a call to the citizenry to always abide by safety regulations when they visit the filling station.

Mr. Kwame Ackah, a Retail Manager of Shell, who made the call counseled Ghanaians who go to the filling station, particularly drivers and motor riders, to adhere to safety directives to ensure safety of the people and property.

He noted that the filling stations normally emit hydro carbons which were highly flammable, therefore, it would be safer for patrons to avoid smoking or the use of electronic devices.

The advice comes in the wake of the recent fire explosion at the Goil Filling Station at Circle, which had so far claimed more than one hundred lives, with scores of people sustaining various degrees of injury.

Mr. Ackah described the venture as encouraging, assuring that Shell looked up to embarking on more business partnerships with the KFC for their mutual benefits.

Ms Cassandra Appenteng, the Brand Manager of KFC Ghana, said her outfit was committed to expanding its operations across the country to help deliver quality and healthy foods of all kinds to the people.

Lady Julia Osei Tutu, wife of the Asantehene, OtumfuoOsei Tutu II, who performed the inaugural ceremony, lauded the two companies for the venture.
