Kosmos Energy is conducting a three-day training session in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) Incident Investigation for Health, Safety and Environmental Officers from select government and industry institutions in Accra, from 15th to 17th of April 2015.

The three-day training course will help participants determine the root-causes of incidents and use appropriate tools to solve or prevent them. The programme will enhance their incident and problem-solving effectiveness, as well as create a safety culture of involvement and participation within their organisations.

Participants for the training are drawn from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Petroleum Commission (PC), Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC), Ministry of Energy and Petroleum (MoEP), Ghana National Gas Company (GNGC), Quantum Terminals, Zeal Environmental Technologies Ltd., and the Volta River Authority (VRA).

Ken Keag, Vice President and Country Manager of Kosmos said: “This programme is consistent with the company’s long-term strategy of investing in Ghana’s workforce to share best practices, enhance capability, and create a world-class petroleum industry. We are pleased to support the professional development of our colleagues in the industry and its supply chain”.

This is the fourth in a series of Health, Safety, Environment training programmes Kosmos Energy has organised for stakeholders since 2011.

The training is being conducted by the LEORON International Professional Development Institute, a leading corporate training company in the emerging markets of Europe, Africa and Asia.
